The client
Argenti is the latest name to join the British motorsport scene, racing in Formula 4 and a global karting programme. Nurturing new and upcoming talent, the brand supports drivers through their early single seater racing careers.
At a glance
After moving into their new HQ in Northamptonshire, Argenti approached us to help them create a completely bespoke building sign that would showcase their brand and vision. The team works day and night at times, and so the sign must be visible at night from the gated entrance which is around 200 metres away too.
The client also wanted some custom window graphics that would provide a cohesive brand identity throughout the building.
The project
Nothing oozes confidence quite like illuminated built up letters. The aluminium letters were built with a 60mm return to provide that all-important 3D element, then colour matched to the three different brand colours.
Once the design had been agreed, the next step was to explore the numerous lighting options for this style of illuminated sign. There are a number of different options but the most popular are:
- Face lit - where a translucent material is used for the face so the light shines through in your brand’s colour.
- Halo lit - LEDs are placed behind the lettering to provide a soft glow from the back of the letters.
The client wanted more of a subtle lighting effect and so we agreed on a more sophisticated halo lighting effect using cool white LEDs.
The end result - a sleek and modern quality sign that embodies the brand perfectly.
